Version 2026-07-15

Terms of Use and Liability

Privacy, AI data use, how long clips are stored, and responsibility for third-party content.

1. Acceptance and effective date

By creating an account, accessing the dashboard, or using MutterClips services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Use, Liability, and Privacy.

The current version of these terms is 2026-07-15. If a material change is made, the platform may require you to accept the updated terms before continuing to use the service.

2. Description of the service

MutterClips helps you turn channels, streams, and authorized videos into clips ready for social media.

It includes automatic cutting, AI feedback, captions, covers, post copy, and other studio tools.

3. Public content and user responsibility

You are responsible for the videos, channels, streams, links, and third-party materials you add or process on the platform.

When using public or third-party videos, you confirm you have authorization or another appropriate legal basis to process them.

MutterClips does not own the original content and is not liable for copyrights, likeness, voice, trademarks, music, games, strikes, or takedowns on other platforms.

Clips made from other people's recordings or posts are the responsibility of whoever requested the processing.

4. Artificial intelligence and limitations

Game identification, summaries, feedback, subtitles, titles, thumbnails, and recommendations may be generated automatically and do not guarantee quality, virality, legal compliance, or commercial success.

Known limitations include the following: a small number of frames may not represent the entire clip; high motion does not always indicate a good moment; menus, overlays, and rapid cuts may produce false positives; and speech context and audience reactions still have limited weight.

You are responsible for reviewing all material before publishing, monetizing, or distributing it.

5. Use of data for AI improvement and training

By using the platform, you agree that technical data and data derived from processing may be used to improve, develop, analyze, and train artificial intelligence models, including models related to games, highlight identification, editorial feedback, subtitles, titles, descriptions, thumbnails, and related features.

This data may include the identified game, observed-content summaries, improvement suggestions, confidence values, visual metrics, motion metrics, transcripts, descriptions, and analysis results.

Where applicable, data used to train or improve systems may be aggregated, anonymized, or pseudonymized to reduce the direct identification of users, channels, or third parties.

Pseudonymized annotations and derived datasets may be retained for product development under dedicated retention policies, schema/model versioning practices, and access controls. Feedback annotations do not store frames, video files, media paths, or raw transcripts.

6. Retention of videos and records

Processed video and clip files are retained by plan: Free up to 4 days, Premium up to 15 days, and Unlimited up to 30 days, unless a different configuration or legal obligation applies.

After this period, videos and clips may be deleted automatically. Technical data, derived metrics, pseudonymized feedback, processing records, and aggregate statistics used for improvement, security, auditing, and AI training may be retained for a longer period.

7. Electronic signature and audit trail

Acceptance of these terms is recorded with the date and time, the accepted version, the observed IP address, the user agent, and a technical fingerprint derived from browser signals such as resolution, language, and time zone.

This fingerprint is a supplementary technical identifier used to audit acceptance. It is not exclusive proof of legal identity and does not store passwords or authentication tokens.

8. Accounts, plans, and acceptable use

New accounts start on the Free plan, subject to the limits and trial terms in the current policy. Paid plans are granted through checkout and billing or by an administrator, and never through unauthorized self-assignment during registration.

You may not use the platform for unlawful or abusive activities, fraud, infringement of third-party rights, or attempts to compromise systems, queues, storage, or other users' accounts.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, MutterClips and its operators are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, loss of third-party data, strikes on external platforms, or disputes between users and content owners.

The service is provided “as is” and may experience downtime, failures by external providers such as Twitch, YouTube, Stripe, OpenRouter, or storage providers, and degraded AI features when keys or quotas are unavailable.

10. Contact

Questions about these terms, privacy, or account deletion may be submitted through the support channel available in the MutterClips dashboard.
